Primary Functions
· Mastication: Breaking down raw rubber to reduce its molecular weight and increase plasticity.
· Mixing/Compounding: Uniformly dispersing additives (such as carbon black, accelerators, vulcanizing agents, etc.) into the rubber polymer.
· Warming: Pre-heating and plasticizing the compound for subsequent processes like calendering or extruding.
· Sheeting: Forming the mixed compound into sheets of specific thickness and width for easier handling in later production stages.
· Reclaiming: Processing scrap or waste rubber.
